Hello.

Mauro is a relaxed, romantic and hopefully inspiring place to stay. We try very hard in being
a funky, high-end and quirky hotel with zero stars.. Luckily our guests are our stars!

Mauro is located in a classic 16th century canal house and is innovative, sustainable and a million miles away from big hotel chains, welcoming everybody that is at least 12 years of age with an open mind to experience a different kind of hotel. So if you require a luggage rack, turn-down service including slippers or a phone in your bathroom, then look further.

All 9 rooms are unique in their own way. We have tried to distinguish them into 3 types according to their location within the building: TERRA (ground floor and indeed, these are noisier then all other rooms), CANAL and COURTYARD (these can only be reached by steep stairs)

All rooms come with free wifi, fridge with welcome drinks, wake-up light with Ipod/Iphone docking station, DVD player, en-suite bathroom with under-floor heating, Rituals© amenities, small safe, coffee/tea facilities, hairdryer and of course a flat screen TV. Please check the specific room types below for details.

NOTES (and please reed these small letters):

We guarantee a specific room type upon booking, but cannot guarantee a specific room number within these room types. We will honeslty do our very best should you have a preference.
There is only 1 Courtyard room suitable for 3 persons. Please contact us for availability of this room (+€40,00 per night additional charge).
In 2 of our canal rooms and in 1 courtyard room, the beds can be separated into twins. Please contact us for availability of these rooms.
No admittance for anyone under the age of 12.
Please read our cancellation policy carefully before booking as upon booking, you have agreed with these terms (1 exception: no charges only of you have passed away youself and are therefore not

able to travel, our condoleances)

TERRA.
These 2 rooms are located on the ground floor and front side of the building, facing directly onto the street and canal with cracking old wooden floors.

Bathroom with shower only or bath/shower + walk in shower.

CANAL.
These 4 rooms are located on either the 1st (one up) or 2nd floor, reachable by stairs only. Canal view with rubbber/industrial floors.

COURTYARD.
These 3 rooms are located on either the 1st (one up) or 2nd floor, reachably by stairs only. Limited/courtyard views with rubber/industrial floors.

ARRIVAL OPENING HOURS
We are open for arrival from 9AM-9PM. No worries, once checked-in you will get your own keys to get into the building. Early arrivals please note that you can leave your luggage with us as from 9AM. Your room will be ready latest 2PM, we really do our best. Check-out is 11AM so we can prepare the room for our next guests. You can however always leave your luggage with us until it is time for you to leave Amsterdam.

CANCELLATIONS
We understand that unforeseen events or circumstances may cause you to cancel or change your reservation. It is for this reason we advise all guests to get travel insurance. We advise all guests to get travel insurance. We advise all guests to get travel insurance. Now that we have advised you 3 times to get travel insurance (!), here is our cancellation policy, which we think is very reasonable knowing the small size of our hotel (late cancellations also hurt us badly!):

up to ten (10) nights prior to arrival = no charge
between ten (10) and three (3) nights prior to arrival = 1st night’s value
less then 3 nights prior to arrival = full reservation value
no shows, late check-ins & early check-outs are responsible for payment of the of the entire reservation value
